Brian Quail is founder and CEO of Quail Consulting, which focuses on guiding nonprofit CEOs and boards to achieve exceptional results. After earning his MA in nonprofit administration and management at the University of Chicago, his career spanned four decades in nonprofits, including twenty-five years as CEO of three affiliates of national organizations. Combined, his fundraising, oversight, analysis, and development efforts have resulted in over one billion dollars in human-services funding.

Brian and his wonderful wife, Liz, live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he enjoys spending time with their amazing daughter, Chloe, volunteering, fitness training, and playing golf.

Brian Quail is founder and CEO of Quail Consulting, which focuses on guiding nonprofit CEOs and boards to achieve exceptional results. His nonprofit career spanned four decades, including twenty-five years serving as CEO of three affiliates of national organizations: Heart of Florida United Way, American Red Cross Louisville Area Chapter, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. Combined, his fundraising, oversight, analysis, and development efforts throughout his professional life have resulted in over one billion dollars in human-services funding.

Born in Clinton and raised in neighboring Sterling, Massachusetts, Brian attributes his discipline and integrity to his hard-working blue-collar parents. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, he went on to the University of Chicago where he earned his MA in nonprofit administration and management in 1984.

Since 2009, he and his wonderful wife, Liz, have called Fort Lauderdale, Florida, home. There he enjoys spending time with their amazing daughter, Chloe, running his consulting and speaking services, volunteering, fitness training, playing golf, and attending sporting events.

  • Consistently received numerous multi-million-dollar gifts from various foundations, corporations, and individuals over the course of his career, such as Dr. Nelson Ying, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Huizenga Family Foundation.
  • Received the Trail Blazer Award in 2012 from the Partnership to End Childhood Hunger for establishing a snack and meal program for at-risk youth.
  • For one nonprofit, implemented i-Ready, an online program to increase math and reading proficiency for at-risk youth, College & Career Education & Tours Program, Workforce Development Program, SAT prep program, and the Dale Carnegie Public Speaking Program.
  • Initiated sophisticated technological programs for data collection and outcome analysis for programs in each nonprofit served.
  • Implemented capital campaigns over the course of his career totaling over $40,000,000 for a comprehensive capacity building campaign, disaster preparedness, and building and infrastructures needs.
  • Planned and established 211 information and referral for residents of Central Florida.
  • Created an Armed Forces Emergency Services Call Center that supports US military personnel and their families here at home.
